As 2019 draws to an end, you might be looking forward to what the upcoming year holds. This article looks a little further ahead to what our food might look like in 2050, when growing populations and dwindling resources will force us to re-think how we eat. From children growing their own protein for lunch, to drone delivered meals based on real time gut sensors, it’s clear that technology will play an increasingly imrportant role in helping us to meet our nutiritional needs whilst dealing with scarce resources and climate change. Whilst these predictions may not all come to fruition, it’s interesting to see the ways technology and innovation will shape our food futures.
