Plating up progress is a collaborative project between the Food Foundation and the Food Climate Research Network which aims to define usable metrics for assessing food industry progress towards delivering sustainable and healthy diets. Focussed specifically on food retailers, caterers and restaurant chains, the first report delves into the sustainability and nutrition-related risks and opportunities that exist within the food industry. Highlighting the need for investors to engage with businesses on setting targets that accelerate change, the report serves as a useful reminder that plant-based, healthy food provides the lowest risk, highest opportunity pathway to achieving a sustainable food system.
