As people all over the world give up meat and dairy for Veganuary, the Golden Globes followed suit this year with an entirely vegan menu. As the year began with wildfires engulfing Australia, the awards show wanted to play its part in raising awareness, helping gain wider acknowledgement of the impact of food on our climate. With one less kilogram of beef served equal to taking a car off the road for 181 miles, swapping some meat dishes for veg-led ones makes environmental sense. In the UK, over 350,000 people signed up to take part in Veganuary and many restaurants are responding; Food Made Good members Wagamama’s have launched a vegan watermelon ‘tuna’.
